"Sinatra" is a 4yo registered Appaloosa gelding. He is a registered DUN- a rare color for aps! He is out of some great lines, going back to Dream Finder and Sonny Dee Bar.
Sinatra is as kind and honest as a horse his age can get. He is easy going and gets along great with everyone. He is perfect to catch, clip, tack, and load. He LOVES the farrier and picks up all four feet; he rarely requires a trim as he keeps himself naturally balanced. And he is an ap with a mane and tail!
He was ridden recently in a private session with clinician Brent Graef and received a lot of praise. Sinatra is ready to be finished for any discipline and will excel at pleasure.
He has been trail ridden extensively and loves it. He crosses water and loves to swim, goes down steep and muddy banks, over logs, etc. He is fine in the back, but will step to the front and lead if asked. He also stands quietly while picketed or tied to a trailer. If you are looking for the perfect trail horse, Sinatra is it.
Sinatra has smooth gaits and is currently working on softening at the walk and trot. His lope is coming along nicely as well. He knows leg and seat aids in addition.
He is now being used in our lesson program in our new "Cow Class" series where a younger rider is tracking cattle with him. Sinatra is thoroughly enjoying this and would make a great cow horse for someone looking to do some ranch work.
