“Benji” is a brave and willing participant in many disciplines. For the past 4 years he has been trained in the hunters, traveling to shows in central Pennsylvania. He has shown in the Modified Hunters, Pre-Adult Hunters, and Low Hunters at shows such as Halcyon Farm, Swan Lake Stables, Hollyhurst Farm, Quentin Riding Club, Heritage Acres, and has traveled to Lexington, Virginia for the Lexington Spring Premiere in 2006, where he placed very well in the 2` and 2`6``-2`9`` classes. He placed fourth in the high-point year end awards from the CPJHSA in the Modified Hunters with limited showing in 2005. He has always placed high in the under saddle classes. He has been in a program with professional training and showing and has the potential to move up to the child/adult hunters. Ben clips, loads like a pro, ties, bathes, and stands for the farrier, vet, and dentist. He has been schooled in dressage, including shoulder-ins and leg yields at the W/T/C. He has automatic lead changes as well as knowing counter canter. He has been schooled a few times successfully cross country and taken cubbing twice with hounds over bridges, streams, etc. He would excel in a multi-disciplinary home – where he would be able to school cross country and taken for trail rides. He is best with company but can be taken out alone. Benji would make an excellent combined training prospect! He can be turned out alone or with a friend and is an easy keeper around the farm. He is up-to-date on all routine vaccinations. Benji has shown limitedly the past year as his owner is managing college and riding. Due to time constraints, he must find a new home.
