Bought this mare as a yearling, she was sweet and gentle from day one. She hurt her eye as a yearling and had surgery to save it. Her right eye is therefore blemished but she has some vision out of it and you can't tell she has a vision problem(neither could the trainer who broke her). I had her broke at 3, she sat for 2 months and I took her on a wagon train and after 20 min of initial nervousness, she led the pack the rest of the day. The guy who broke her said she could have easily become a kid broke horse with more time. Unfortunately she has been sitting since the year she was broke(got another horse that needed way more attention). This mare could be tuned up to ride again, or used a broodmare. She is 100% sound and well mannered, never gives you any trouble with anything you ask her to do(shots, farrier, loading, etc.) Can't guarantee her as a riding horse since she's sat so long, she will need a very experienced rider right now. Her breeder said she should carry the black gene. She is registered half arabian, pinto with pintabian papers pending. She has been loved and well taken care of and I want that to continue. I just don't have time for her and it's a shame she's just sitting in the pasture.
