Today (11-4-09) my husband rode this gelding again and worked on loping & trotting circles both directions. He is very attentive and starting to come along good. Still needs to learn respect for the bit a little. Backed him into the heel box and it didn't seam to bother him one bit. This horse will make someone a nice heel horse.

UPDATE: Today (10-31-09) I lunged this little guy and he acted like he had been worked everyday for the past week. He appears to be one of those type horses that you can let sit a little bit...throw a leg over and he was just like he was last time you rode him. I threw a winter blanket on him for the first time ever tonight and he stood there great. Picked up his feet and again he was great. I might mention that he is wonderful & CLEAN in a stall.

UPDATE as of 8-18-09 Rode this gelding in indoor arena for 1 1/2 hours and seams to really learn quick. Is learning to give to the bit and starting to respect leg pressures. 4 year old gelding that we baught thinking we had enough time for him. We have rode him a few times and can tell he needs some training done on him. The people that owned him before us used him for trail riding only in the Black Hills.
He is built stout and likes to pay attention to what you want him to do. He has shown us so far that he is a quick learner. We have rodeo him threw our place and also int the arena. He is young and looking for someone with enough time to give him the time to teach him things.
He was just cut in January & still adjusting to the fact that he is not a stud anymore.
He is grade but we were informed he has lots of POCO BUENO breeding.
We wanted him for a new heel/breakaway horse but have been too busy with our other horses rodeoing this year (which costs money too hints the other reason we need to sell him).
