16HH, 9 year old chestnut gelding with a sweet personality and great with kids. Dillon has been ridden by beginners up through collegiate level training program. Has been shown by C1, 14 yr ponyclubber, C3 ,17 yr ponyclubber, British Riding School Instructor, and Western trail riders.
Dillon is a gentle loving guy with a huge personality that's suitable for a beginner rider, yet steps up for more experienced riders. He finished 2008 as 1st place beginner-novice at Dunnabeck Horse Trials, and is ready to start season at novice level. Quickly understanding dressage and has jumped up to 3'3.
When not under training or competing, Dillon is great to kick around trail riding or as a back-yard buddy. He also goes Western and has been trail ridden weekly. We live next to a National Forest, so he has been on numerous long trail rides past farm machinery, traffic, jumping logs, through water, etc. He has done it all and nothing phases him.
Dillon has been ridden by many different ages, including our 6 and 8 year old son, and makes a great lesson horse due to his sweet and calm nature.
He has amazing ground manners, loads and unloads himself from a trailer, stands quietly for clipping, shoeing, etc. Up to date on everything this loving gentle guy needs a home that can give him more attention, he is happiest when he has a job. We hate to let him go, but rider has left to England for college, and his talents are wasted at pasture. Good home is a must!
