Ima Last Captive is a 5 year old mare, she stands 16.1. She is lightly started over fences and she has an ROM in open hunter under saddle. She won under 1 judge at the Dixie Nationals and was 3rd under the other 2. She tied for the reserve champion at the Dixie Nationals in the jr. hus, but she lost it and was third because of the tie breaker judge. Nellie won the high point for the NWFQHA year end awards this year in the green hus and the jr. hus. With limited showing, she now has 14 points in the open division of the hus. She is in the incentive fund. Last shown Sept. 26-27, 2009 and she came home with 4 points in the hus, she also was reserve champion in the all age hus futurity and won $358! Nellie has been shown at the open shows in showmanship, eq. patterns, hus and wp, but she is no wp horse! Only did that class for the all around and she won the all around adult horse at the open show last show season when she was a 4 year old. Nellie is uncomplicated to ride. I am a trainer and she sits on the back burner most of the time. I usually ride her once a week if that and will ride her a few days before a show and she usually wins or comes in second. Nellie doesn't like spurs, so I just ride her without. I think she still has a little bit of growing left to do, that's why she has only been started lightly over fences. I wanted to get her good and broke on the flat before I taught her something new. She is a very solid hus horse. The first video is of her at the Marianna, Florida quarter horse show taken at the end of June 2009. The second video is of her schooling over fences and doing a few flying lead changes at my house on Oct. 12, 2009.
