'LS' is a bay gelding with a great disposition. I have ridden him English, western, trail riding, and I used to use him to heard our cattle too. He is elligible for green Western Pleasure and green Hunter Under Saddle, Novice horse classes. He is very smart and has a nice, even keel temperament. My husband (the non-rider) rides him when we trail ride and he is stout enough for 280lbs and 6'2''. He could be a man, ladies, or very nice youth horse.

I rode him as a stud for the first few years until a death in the family side tracked my riding and we gelded and pastured him. Which is why he is now for sale, I would like to see him go to someone who has time and ability to show him the attention and care he deserves. I think the right youth rider would be an ideal match.

He trailers great and loves to go places. He has a really good work ethic and enjoys people and attention. He really likes to ride. Comes when called-especially if there is a bucket involved ;) He LOVES to trail ride and go places. He gets along with other horses in the pasture. Even keeps a nice stall. Our little fat boy is as they say an easy keeper. This REALLY is a nice little horse. I did not stick him at the 15.1, but I am 5'10''. Currently back in training, this is a great horse for sale to a good and loving home only.

DOES NOT HARD TIE: He ground ties, cross-ties, and loose ties fine. I put him on the little elastic give saftey ties in the trailer, no problems. This is not an issue for me, but if you are planning on tieing him to the side of a trailer all day while you go barrel race or something...this is not the horse for you. Simply put, I won't sell him to you. I would rather not sell him than not let you know. This is the only 'vice' or 'issue' I would consider this horse has.

Several questions I have answered in various emails:

Q: can a beginner ride him? A: LS is suitable for an advanced, intermediate, or beginner rider. If you are a rider, and have a kid or non-rider in the family...this will likely be the horse you pull out for 'pony' rides or for that relative who shows up once a year because you have horses and wants to go trail ride all day in parts unknown-you know the one. I ride him in a snaffle -ring, trails, fields, down the road, etc.

If you ARE a begginer I would recommend getting a GOOD trainer to continue your successful riding career...regardless of wether you buy LS or ANY horse. Its just like sending a 15 year old kid out in a car with no driving lessons...its just not likely to end well without a little help and guidence from someone with more insight and know-how.

Q: Does he jump? Answer: Over the creek to come in for dinner. That's it. I don't know that he would jump-I am sure he would go over cavaletties and maybe some lower stuff-but you would have to train him. I haven't done anything but flat work on him. I do think he would make a NICE lower level dressage horse. He has such a nice collected canter-very rocking chair.

Q: Is he suitable for a family/kid: A:I think LS is a great horse and I would love to see him go where someone's family would love and use him. The 19 year old kid who runs the barn just got out of the hospital after a bad car wreck. LS was the first horse she got on after the accident. He is a very trustworthy and good natured boy. We vacuumed him before and after the ride and he was just tickled to get all the attention. I think a family would be a really nice fit. As he gets older your younger kids could show him. At this time, I think his primary rider should be at least 13...and a good little rider OR be in regular training with lessons. He has ques, and you'll want to know how to push them-just like shifting gears in a car. I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but his tail is real, so no need for extensions or anything when you go show.

30+ days back in WP and HUS training. Please note, I am currently putting on a charity golf fundraiser event and due to my schedule can't keep appointments to see LS. Viewing/riding appointments will be kept by the barn manager and/or trainer.
