Gracie has a new home. Thank you Tanya. I hope that you, Gracie and her new horse buddy have many good years together.
Gracie had an outstanding show career winning in AQHA open, amateur, youth and novice levels. She won the Georgia Snaffle Bit Pleasure Futurity as a 3 year old. She took a 9 year old child to the AQHA world show and she is both Congress and World placed in youth halther. She has been a broodmare for the last 9 years, but last year she aborted and this year's colt died at ~3.5 weeks. I do not plan to try breeding her again. She might be able to go for short walks with a smaller person on her back, but she is arthritic in front and I could not guarentee that. Otherwise, she is healthy and up-to-date on shots, worming, trimming, etc.
I would love to find her a good final home where she could serve as a companion to either humans or other horses. I am willing to give her away, including her papers, to a good home. References are required.
She is currently located in Midway KY at DeGraff's farm where she spent last year in the KyBIF program. If someone local to that area is interested in her, it will save me from hauling her back to Colorado and I would be happy to provide her transportation a reasonable distance.
If she does not find a new home in the next week or so, I will have her shipped back here to Colorado and continue to look for a good situation for her out here. She could be delivered anywhere between Midway KY and Denver CO.
Please contact me if you are interested in a wonderful older mare as a companion for you or your other animals.
