We have had "Monty" for the last 4 years. He is a 14.2 hand bay stud with lots of chrome. He is super well behaved on the ground and under saddle. In 2007, "Monty" won the Iowa Quarter Horse Association Open Reining Division. He has also been ridden on trails, in parades, and is starting to track calves.
His dispostion is unlike any other stud we have been around because he acts like a gelding. You can ride with mares and not have a problem. We have even ponied our 5 year old son on his pony from him. Go to hiemstraquarterhorses.com to see pictures of his progeny.
No problems with the farrier, trailer, or clipping. Current on shots and worming.
