Excellent movement, wonderful expression and eye-catching copper coloring make Champagne a regular winner on the Alberta Hunter circuit. He has an amazing temperament and is Mr. Personality, tending to endear himself to everyone who gets to know him.
He is meticulously schooled on the flat with excellent collection, extension and lateral movements which also make him a consistent winner in the hunter under saddle and hack classes, as well. He is light in the hands and easy to take around the ring, very willing and safe. No trainer rides are required.
Champagne had phenomenal success in the show ring in 2008 with consistent championships at 2'9" to 3'3". He qualified and compete natioanlly at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto where he was the model of consistency, being placed in every jumping class he was in.
He is currently schooling comfortably at 3'6" to 3'9" and is ready to progress to competition at these levels in 2009.
Champagne is well-suited to a junior/amateur rider who is looking to move up. He would make an excellent equitation and medal mount with his rhythmic cadence, ease adjustability and responsiveness.
Champagne is a champion hunter horse, but has also done well at small dressage shows, has competed in the occasional jumper round and has even worked with buffalo. He is calm and willing in whatever he is asked to do. He ships easily and comes off the trailer ready to show.
I can not afford to show this horse at the level he deserves and need to find him a good show home that can take him to the next level. Price is somewhat negotiable to a proven show home.
Viewings can be arranged for either Edmonton or Calgary.
