Raven has had an ultrasound done and is verified safe in foal to a Homozygous Pinto Stallion. She will have a spotted baby Spring of 2011. So this is a 2-for-1 package. Two beautiful colored horses! She may even have a Blue Roan Pinto foal!
There are 14 videos of Raven on You Tube showing her being brushed, tacked up, parked out, mounted, ridden in the yard and on the road, and dismounting. The link to them is:

Raven is a Big Boned 15.3 hand, Sweet Gentle mare. I still haven't decided if I want to sell Raven. I looked for many years to find a Blue Roan mare that has a calm, sweet personality and is road safe with nice gaits and BIG size! The only reason I'm considering selling her is I'm just not riding hardly at all because of my health. I only rode Raven twice in 2009! But she was wonderful both times. Like we had been riding continuously. She is the same whether ridden constantly or every few months! . Raven is a true 15.3 hands & Big Bodied. Big enough for a large man to ride. She is an Excellent trail mount and road safe. I have ridden her on roads and in traffic and she is wonderful. She is great to work around and is very calm and trustworthy. She has been trail ridden in the mountains of Tennessee. She has wonderful gaits and a wonderful personality! She just turned 12 years old in March. One of the things I love most about Raven is she doesnt turn black in the winter like most blue roans do. She stays a deep charcoal steel grey. I've included photos of her in winter, summer and spring so you can see her coloring in different seasons. We have a photoalbum with a few more photos of Raven and Genie: http://s634.photobucket/albums/uu62/JndsCritters/
It took most of the summer to figure out Raven's filly's coloring but we finally figured out that she inherited a creme gene from Raven who has a Creme/Palomino Mother and Grandmother who was out of two Gold parents! And that Stallion goes back to a Creme! So the filly ended up a Chocolate Smokey Black with a very light patch of creme on either side of her tail root, a dorsal stripe down her back, a blonde overlay on her mane and red feathers on her fetlocks. And she has a mane and fetlock thick enough to rival a Fresian! Really unusual & So gorgeous! She sold to a gentleman in Canada. The farrier was really impressed with her confirmation and how she moved. He said she'd do fantastic in the show ring.
Raven has fantastic breeding potential because there is no Pusher or Pride breeding in her bloodlines so she can cross wonderfully with stallions heavy in those lines. She has a lot of old time bloodlines closeup also! Merry Boy's F-88 is in her fourth generation along with Roger's Perfection, Midnight Secret and Merry Go Boy! Some of TWH's Foundation Sires!! And on her mother's side in the fourth generation is Cream Chance and Desert's Gold Wilson which is the gold and creme sire's that are giving her the dilution factor in her breeding.
This is a chance to own a Huge Beautiful Blue Roan mare with fantastic breeding potential and a great personality and gaits with color as the added bonus! And now in foal with the potental to have a really colorful foal that would sell for top dollar!
We will accept payments while she remains here.
