This versatile Percheron/Paint draft-cross is the ideal mount for a confident, experienced intermediate or adult rider that is looking to trail ride, compete or drive. Has an easy-going personality and a kind nature, making him a favorite at the barn. His looks and gaits will get you noticed in the show ring or on the trail!
An extremely easy keeper, content to be stalled or turned out, he is UTD on all cares, barefoot, sound and healthy. Stands quiet for tacking, hitching, groomer, farrier, etc. Loads like a pro! Traffic-safe - doesn't mind dogs, buses, bikes, motorcycles, flags, etc. A pleasure to handle on the ground. No vices; no kick, no bite, no rear, no buck. He has three solid, very clean gaits - tracks well - and hacks out alone or in company. Not totally bombproof, though, and can get strong, so not for a beginner or child (please, no 'beginner' or 'husband-horse' inquiries). Was broke to drive, doubles, as a youngster, but we have only used him for light logging and sledding, occasionally; mostly, we trail-ride. He would serve well for trail riding, dressage, pleasure driving or farming. Not ring or barn sour. Uncomplicated to handle, patient and forgiving.
It is hard to let him go, but he has so much to offer, he deserves to be put to more use than he is right now! He will bring a lot of joy to your life so I am looking for a great home for him, with references. Email for more pics and info. Price negotiable to the right home, only.
