This young, bay tobiano colt will be gelded (free of charge to you) upon weaning in the fall. We teach them all to lead, load, tie and they will be current on farrier work, vaccinations, and deworming. Most of them are VERY friendly, even though they are raised in large pastures with a couple dozen other foals. We check on them at least once a day and scratch the friendliest ones...the others are always within inches of us, wondering what's going on.
We have two very different sets of weanlings this year. We had "Kash" a black tobiano son of Romeo Rascal (o/o a running bred mare - Raise Your Glass/Rocket Wrangler/Bang Up) that stands over 15.3 and was double homozygous (black and tobiano). Romeo Rascal had many awards, and ROMs in 8 events (including all the roping events, barrel racing, trail, HUS, reining, etc) He was also the National Rope Horse of the Year. We currently have Kash's first foal crop, and will be his only foal crop in the U.S., as he was sold to Thailand last fall.
Most of the dams of these foals stands around 14.3 - 15.1 hands and are either daughters, or granddaughters of world reknown Ris Key Business (multiple world champion, multiple world champion sire - roping, reining, working cow, etc)
With a couple of exceptions, I expect most of Kash's foals to mature right around 15.1 or 15.2. So far, they seem to be extremely athletic and very good minded. These are VERY nice foals.
Prices range from $1500 for the bay tobiano colts/geldings to $3000 and $3500 for a couple of black, homozygous tobiano foals (one filly, one colt). It's also quite likely that these bay tobiano colts/geldings are also homozygous for either tobiano or black, since the sire was dble hz....but I'm not going to bother testing them, as I think they will be better suited as geldings. Not that they aren't the quality of the other stud prospect(s)....they are.....but we usually geld all but one or two out of each foal crop.
Each foal has it's own face book album at: Diaman H Stables
We also have a web site for more in depth information (pedigrees, prices, photos of dams, sires, accomplishments, etc): wvvw .diamanh. c0m.
