Judge is a thirteen-year-old 16.2hh, registered black OTTB. Judge has extensive experience as a three phase event competitor and has competed in dressage and jumpers to supplement his training. He has even dabbled in equitation.
I got Judge off the track when I was fourteen years old and have brought him through the preliminary level of eventing. He has the ability and class to win the dressage, he is a brave show jumper and has a blast on cross country. Judge has an amazing, ground-covering gallop across the country and a big, bold jump. Making the time is not a problem for hum, unless the rider holds him back. He has three big, swinging and extremely comfortable gaits. his big trot and canter are amazingly easy to sit in the dressage ring. He makes the rider look great and the work look effortless!
While I brought him up, I used him in pony club ratings and competed at pony club rallies with him. I passed my C-3 riding on him during the first year I owned him. It was a stretch as he was so green, but he kept his composure for me. He is the type that will stand tied to the trailer all day and that you will not worry about a young kid handling. With a kind, gentle, willing and laid-back personality, he can be completely trusted with children. Over the years I have had him, he has transformed in to the most easy-going and well-intended horse. He made competitions so much easier for me because I could count on him being an angel while I focused on my rides ride and having to groom for professionals riding multiple horses.
I gave him a break when I started school and now he is competing beginner novice and novice with a younger friend of mine. He is giving her clear, positive experience and feedback. If asked correctly he will do anything for a rider, as would any great teacher. Judge is truly the packer type. I have taught many unbalanced riders on him of all sizes without any problems. Judge is just a safe, dependable athlete—ready to offer somebody a fun eventing career.
Judge loves to travel and has been driven all over the east coast on rides up to fourteen consecutive hours, without any anxiety. He stands for the farrier without even needing to be tied, is good for the vet, teeth floatings, baths, and vacuuming.
