Very reluctant sale through no fault of her own - I would prefer to lease her for a year prior to selling to make sure the match is perfect and she is happy. 8 year old, registered and branded Red Preferred AWS mare.
Working lower level dressage. Great trail horse. Forward moving, light and responsive to aids. Eager to learn. I have never jumped her, but she will eagerly pop over logs on trails without any hesitation and seems to enjoy that!
No vices. Easy to groom, bathe, catch, farrier, vet, worm, trailer etc.
Boss mare in the pasture! A very intelligent, curious, brave and affectionate mare. Very, very sad decision due to lack of time. She had not been ridden since January 2014 but almost one year later, I put a saddle on her, no need to be lunged, and she was perfect. Never needs to be lunged prior to riding. Ride once a day, once a week or once a month .. and apparently, once a year!
At this time, I would to prefer to lease to a superb home with good/gentle trainer and an option to buy (payments OK) after 12 month lease. She would do best with a quiet, intermediate rider with a good seat and LIGHT hands. Please, if you need to hang onto the reins for balance or to feel you have better control .. this is not the horse for you. She is currently turned out 24-7 on my 20 acres in Florida with full access to her fully enclosed stall. She does seem to prefer to be outside but will occasionally hang out in her stall. She is shod as her feet don't do great in the Florida sand. Right now, she is shod only in front, but when in work, would recommend shoeing all around.
No dealers, no breeders and no novices, please!
Her color is very unusual - we cannot decide if she is liver chestnut, strawberry roan or ??
She has featured in a couple of documentaries and celebrity photo shoots!
Never been bred. Up to date on coggins, vaccinations, wormer and farrier. The only thing that may be due would be to have her teeth floated.
I look forward to learning more about you and the home you are offering.
