Allie is a sweet, in your pocket type of mare. She has excellent ground manners. She stands for the farrier, vet, etc. She is very rusty about loading on a trailer, and will require a little retraining in that area, though she has loaded well in the past, and I am sure she can again.
Under saddle, Allie is willing, with a fantastic work ethic. This mare loves to work! She is hot under saddle, and requires a rider that can give her the support she needs, and one who is willing to ride every second. Allie is not the type of mare that you can sit and daydream on, she requires an active partnership. She also requires consistent work, she is not the type that you can pull out of the pasture after a month and expect to be the same as when she is in work. If you put in the time to form a partnership with her, she will pay you back tenfold. She is a willing jumper who is bold to the fence and really happy to be jumping.
I have had Allie for seven years now, and I love her to death. However, I have had back surgery, and have a rather unstable back now. I am not physically able to give her the work that she craves, and at 56 with minimal bone in my spine, I rarely jump. Allie disapproves of all of that! :) Allie does spook occasionally, and while I have no problem sitting them, it does jar my back, causing more physical problems.
Allie is looking for a bold rider, perhaps a teenager looking for a horse to bring along. She wants someone who wants to ride frequently, and who has time to cuddle and spoil her as well. Vet, Farrier, and boarding references are required, as I only want the perfect home for her. It breaks my heart to sell her, but it is time to get real about my limitations, and get myself a been there, done that kind of push ride.
I am open to a trade/partial trade for a sound, calm push ride of 15.3 h or more. I prefer a gelding. Any horse I have would have a fantastic home and be spoiled rotten. :) References can be given. Allie is for sale or trade only, not for lease.
I have included her Sire and Dam's names. If you go to equineline.com and enter Sports Queen, and her year of birth (2000), you can see her entire pedigree. I do NOT have her papers, they were not conveyed to me, but her tattoo was clearly legible when I bought her.
Allie is such a sweet, talented, hard working mare with so much heart. I hope that I can find the perfect person for her if I no longer can be that person. She is up to date on everything.
