Legends Kentucky Taffy" foaled May,23, 2004. Her sire is Ledends Storm Traveler . She is a yankee granddaughter and Storm Warnings granddaughter.Taffy’s 14.2 -- 14.3 hands tall weights around 800-900 pounds. She is registered and certified with the Rocky Mountain Horse Association. She is also registered with the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Association.
Taffy’s head and eyes are stunning. Her body type is more petite. Taffy gait is more Country Pleasure type, having less knee action. Someone looking for a potential show horse or really fancy trail horse would love her. She does have a "Look at me attitude". She is not an "in your pocket" horse, but does like attention.. She is a fancy mover, with very smooth gaits.. She can be ridden with stock type horses.Taffy will walk slow or walk out.or gait, She is locked in her gaits. She well also help you open gates. She also canters, with is also smooth. But, I prefer her smooth gaits She will ride in front or in back of a group. She has never bucked or reared. But does prefer to stay with the group. She crosses bridges and goes in water.. I do think with more time Taffy would leave the group.. This is why I say an experienced confident rider would do best owning this mare.Taffy will stand tied. She is a gentle horse.I have never seen her be "mare-ish". She will park out, and stand at the mounting block. We just attended a gaited clinic, where the clinician rode her with her finger tips on the reins.she is very light in the mouth. She also neck reins, stops with your seat or by placing your hands on her withers. Taffy, took Miss Grand Grand Champship as a filly. I also have that picture with her breeder.
Taffy is being ridden in a short shank myler comfort bit.,but can be rode in any bit.Taffy bathes and stands good for the farrier. She does change color with the seasons. She has been shod but I currently ride her barefoot .Taffy will load in in a trailer , I have a slant load, but I do not think it would matter, She does give kisses and hugs
Spring shots were given by Dr. Graham, Bristol Vet May, 2014. Vaccines include Tetanus/Encephalitis, West Nile Virus, Potomac Horse Fever, Flu/Rhino and rabbies . She is UTD on Coggins Taffy's feet are trimmed every six weeks. She is dewormed every other month on a rotation of product. She is priced at $4,500 She is boarded at Bristol at Shamrock Stables.
