CSV Especial Jackie, aka Tequila, is truly special. She is double Two-eyed Jack bred and a rare own daughter of AR Scarlet Jackzan out of Docs Two Tough Val. Her pedigree reads like a who's who of Quarter Horses, linking back to Zan Parr Bar, Two Eyed Jack, Especial Jack, Wimpy Jr. and Doc Bar, to name a few.
This is an "old money" bred mare, registered Foundation Quarter Horse Association. She is 91.6% Foundation bred and would bring a solid foundation bloodline to your breeding program, after you have fun riding her!
Tequila was a working cow horse at the age of 3, and was ridden daily by the 9 year old daughter of the ranch foreman. She has worked cattle and been shot off of. She goes through water and loves it.
For the past three years she has been my pleasure/trail horse and has participated in several western riding clinics, trail rides, obstacle courses, and was ridden in 2012 in the Spirit of the Horse show at the State Fair of Texas.
Tequila loads easily. She stands for the farrier and has good solid tough bare feet. She leads well, stands to saddle without tying, stands for mounting and dismounting.
I am 63 years old and it's time for me to retire from horse ownership. Tequila has a big motor and likes to go. She's athletic and powerful with a ton of cow in her. She needs an owner who is younger and wants to ride a lot and go fast. She needs a job to do. Like any horse that's not ridden enough, she will get barn and buddy sour if she's not ridden enough. I don't like to trot or canter or lope. I had her out on the trails today and coming back across the big pasture, I could tell she wanted to go, but she won't if you haven't asked her to. She doesn't break gait. I realized Tequila needs an owner who will take her to her limit. She could be an awesome ranch work horse. I have done a little ranch sorting on her and she is quick and really gets into moving stock around. She could easily be trained to cut, heel and ranch sort.
She goes in water and over obstacles and jumps. She's a talented brave little horse, very feminine and pretty, very healthy. She's been well cared for, wormed and trimmed regularly, and kept on good feed and supplements.
This horse has a lot of try in her, but she doesn't like to be pushed too hard. She turns and stops on a dime. She's not much into ground work. She'd rather you saddled her up and took off. She's not a cuddly horse or a mouthy horse. Not into treats, she's into work. She's alpha and assertive but not aggressive with other horses and would make a great mother. She was with two mini horses for three years and protected them like they were her foals. She will leave other horses alone and not pick on them, but when it's time she will stand up for herself and would do so for her foals.
I'm ready to retire from horse ownership. Tequila is ready to run and play. If you are a Cowgirl or Cowboy looking for a fun horse with off the wall breeding, come see this lovely mare!
