Lexie is a 5yr old, 3/4 Gypsy Vanner filly and was sired by the Great EPCU-HyCu who was imported from Ireland. When we bought her, we had showing at the Feathered Horse Classic, and National Gypsy Horse shows in mind. Because her dam is half Vanner and Registered Pinto Horse, she is also eligible to show at the Pinto Horse shows.
Unfortunately, shortly after we bought her, I was in a horrible car accident and am now confined to a wheelchair most of the time. That was also the same year our daughter left for college. Which leaves my husband, who is not the horse person, to take care of the horses. So sadly it is time to find another home for our ponies.
Lexie is very solid, and well minded. She is quiet and easy going. She gets a little better each time you get her out, she seems to think about each ride and tries to please a little more each time.
The pictures of my 26 mo grand daughter, are from a couple of days ago. Lizzie(granddaughter) and I were having a picnic, when she saw the ponies and took off running, scooted under the fence and ran straight to Lexie. Steph brought Lizzie back on Lexie, who seemed genuinely happy to see a little bitty human and was even happier to join our picnic. Lizzie was riding, running under, and all around her. Then sharing her lunch, and pop with Lexie. I want to stress that while Lexie is very good with kids, and seems to have the patience of a saint. She does not have enough experience to be what I consider, kid broke... She has the basics down, rides well bareback and with a saddle, and is ready to go to the trainer to be finished. Lexie is a very kind hearted horse, who works really hard to make you happy, and she is jaw droppingly beautiful!!.
