Mason is a 9 yr old qh/morgan cross who came from VA where he did trail riding on all kinds of terrain, road safe, vehicle and dog safe for intermediate level riders. He did team penning, team sorting, checked cattle, rounded up cattle, and numerous other ranch chores involving cows, bulls and calves. He has also recently undergone three months of ring training and is now on the bit at the w/t and is coming along beautifully at the canter. He has been schooled english but also goes western very happily. He is solid in those gaits on trail and his trail behavior is impeccable. Gets along great with other horses, has excellent feet ( he's barefoot ) and is a very easy keeper. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and has NEVER offered to buck, rear, kick, spin or do anything mean spirited. Never even pins his ears or wrings his tail. He has a great attitude about everything you throw at him. In VA he also did cows and fox hunting. He would do best living outdoors. He can be a little flinchy indoors when tacking up, etc when he's been indoors too long which precludes him from participating in my therapeutic riding/hippotherapy program.. sadly. He has also been tarp, flag and paper bag desensitized as well as worked off my rope. He lunges and goes by verbal command. I ride this horse in a rope halter most of the time. He is closer to 15 hands with shoes on. I have him barefoot. Don't miss out on this safe and sweet mount. Not for a beginner as he can be hyper responsive and forward. He is not a slow pokey horse. He has great energy. Contact me for more information and videos.
