"Piper" is every horse owner's dream. Safe and reliable for even the smallest riders she would be a perfect first horse, confidence builder, or a dream horse for a rider who's always wanted a solid consistent mount. Piper has never let us down. My kids have literally grown crawling around her feet (sometimes literally) and sometimes I think she's more protective of them than I am! Ride her once a year or every day its always the same ride. No buck, spook, rear, or kick. I've never EVER advertised a horse as totally bombproof but this one fits that bill without question. Dogs, Crazy kids rolling around the arena inside of barrels (not joking), 4wheelers, tractors, pigs, cows, goats, chickens, wildlife, mules, traffic, lamas, all are fine with Piper! She even happily shares her stall and paddock with a 13.1hd very naughty welsh pony with no complaint.
Piper is 15.1 hd, approx 1,100 lbs. We have been training for extreme trail, stock horse shows, and western dressage. Very light in the mouth and a cool little ride. She side passes, spins, backs, ect. She's ready to show in extreme trail right now. Would also do wonderfully in stock horse shows, mounted shooting, and excels as a child's mount. I've ridden her alone and in large groups on 20+ mile very challenging trail rides (up and down steep cliffs, water, sand, mud, ect nothing fazes her). Has participated in the wagon train through Montgomery as well!
Loads on a trailer (even with my five year old leading), clips, bathes, stands quietly tied on a picket line, hobbles, ect. No vices to speak of.
Serious buyers only. First come first serve. She wont last long at this price! Come and get her before I change my mind we LOVE this mare. The only reason we are selling her is to size down completely into ponies but the decision is heartbreaking spend a few minutes with Piper and you'll see why... its hard not to fall in love with her.
Please note.. the video shown was made last second.. we pulled her out of the field and worked her for the first time in almost four months. The riders featured had all ridden her less than three times (the little girl is five) previously. She is horribly out of shape but I wanted to show that she's always the same regardless if you ride every day or unfortunately like me only when you get a chance between working!
UPDATE: I've been asked quite often if I would trust Piper with a beginner on a trail ride. If you can sit a walk/trot/canter. I would trust even my grandmother or five year old son on her on even a difficult trail ride. She has had thousands of hours on even some of the most difficult and dangerous trails. Piper will safely care you anywhere you want to go if you can ride you can take her. I often loan her out to kids to ride and I never even blink about putting them on her. She does ride double, bareback, and bridless as well.
