Stryder is a beautiful 12 year old gelding who needs a home with an experienced person and would only be suitable as a companion horse or light riding. He is willing, but needs time and patience to build up trust with people.

I do not have very much history on him. He was in an unfortunate situation where his last boarding facility was hurting for money and used my board money to feed all 10 horses. I rehomed him in August and he has regained his health much more quickly than imagined.

He has a right club foot and lameness with an unknown cause to us at this time and has been pin fired. He has had corrective barefoot trimming to fix problems stemmed from years of ill fitting shoes. He is healthy, UTD on everything and has fantastic teeth. No special diet, just access to lots of grass and good, quality hay.

My Perfect Owner

An experienced horse person who is looking for a companion horse. Someone who has time to build up a relationship with him. He really is such a love, he just had been in a situation for too long where he learned to distrust others.

My Perfect Home

Paddock: Approx 2 to 3 acres.

Shelter: Can leave out all year round but would need access to shelter for winter months.

Companionship: Either mares or geldings. He is low on the totem pole in a heard situation. He must be monitored as he can get left out if fed in a group.
