For sale is a registered Half Arabian/Half Kentucky Mountain gaited gelding. His sire is 3/4 Egyptian and 1/4 domestic. Has ET Crown Prince, Seven Fourty Seven, Thee Egyptian Prince, and Morafic. His dam is an unregistered gaited Kentucky Mountain. He is eligible to be shown in all the Arabian Horse Shows.
Kentucky Mountain horses have a natural four gait beat called an amble, or rack. This is a very smooth gentle gait that can be maintained over rough terrain and has the same footfall pattern as a walk.
He is coming 2 years old. He is grey and will eventually turn white. He has an in your pocket personality. Very well mannered. He enjoys human contact and companionship. Loves to be groomed. He will be ready for ground training this summer then ready to be ridden the following spring. Nothing fazes this guy. He walks thru water, mud, and small enclosures. He loads, leads, and trailers like a champ. Stands tied. He was born here and has been handled daily. He was imprinted at birth.
He has the capability to do anything you desire. He is quick on his feet. He could run all day long. His feet are tough as nails. I would say endurance or trail competition for sure but he would do just about anything else.
He does have a scar on his rear leg. He was attacked by a dog at 3 days old. Same day he was attacked he went to BVEH to get doctored. Dr. Tanner did a wonderful job and the wound has healed with no lasting effects.
