“Gracie” is my new sale/project horse. She’s an 8 year old, 15 hand, halflinger cross. Her name is what it is because my mother, Audrey, came with me to see her and fell in love with her. Gracie was headed to slaughter and my mom told me I had to save her, so it was by the grace of Aud that I ended up with her.
Gracie may be small but she moves and jumps like a warmblood. She’s built naturally uphill, good conformation all around and has GREAT feet. She’s still green so she needs an intermediate rider to work with her. Gracie has TONS of potential and athletic ability that hasn’t even been tapped into yet. She can jump the moon if you ask her to.
Gracie has been jumped under saddle between 2’6” and 3’, and has been free jumped up to 4’2”! Her flatwork is coming along nicely as well. Her walk and trot is to die for. She’s ALWAYS overreaching and stepping under. She leg yields at the walk and trot, and I have a feeling lateral work will be her specialty, she seems to catch onto it quickly. Her canter has come a long way but still needs to be smoothed out when asking her to stay framed. There is absolutely no doubt that this mare has upper level potential in ANY discipline.
Gracie is looking for a good home. She’s had an uncertain past and is now looking for someone that is going to love her like she deserves. She would do best with someone willing to put time into her and keep her in a program/routine. As with any green horse, consistency is key! Serious inquiries only please. Not for a beginner rider as of yet although she is perfectly fine with anybody for just walking/trotting. With more work I have no doubt she’d make a great kids horse but she’s too rough around the edges right now and needs to learn what it means to have a “job” and what going to “work” entails. The only reason her temperment is listed as a 5 is because she is green and needs experience and exposure to new things.
Price will increase with training and showing. More photos and a video can be seen on my website at
