CD Hickory Pep is the whole package. He has the pedigree, the athleticism, the mind, and the look. CD is finished in Team Penning and Team Sorting and has LTE of $10,000+. He was last shown in Team Sorting in 2012 in the Beginner Class where he had the fast time. CD was in training as a 2 and 3 year old for cutting and reining. He was never shown in cutting and was shown locally in reining.

CD is currently in training for heeling and barrel racing. He has been hauled to roped numerous live steers and the dummy. He takes the corner great and rates off naturally. He is quiet in the box and leaves heard and flat. He is ready to be hauled to jackpots and to get seasoned on the heeling side. CD is trained in Barrels as well. He has not been seasoned, but is solid and ready to be hauled. He is a very ratey free running horse. He is not for the faint of heart and he leaves the barrels hard and fast and turns harder than any barrel horse I’ve ridden. He is a true free runner and gives 110% on every run. Just give him his head to the first and he will do the rest. He will also walk, trot, and lope the pattern as well. He has a great foundation and is not blown up or a hot horse. He has been started slow and correct and is ready for a long career in whatever event you choose. CD has also been started in breakaway roping and calf roping. We have been roping the dummy on him and he is doing well. He has not rope live calves.

Not only has CD been trained in several different events, he is also very broke just to ride around. He has a nice stop which could easily be worked with to enhance his natural slide. He has a nice roll back, flying lead changes, and spins. He rides quiet, picks up both leads, and breaks at the poll. He is quiet around mares and geldings while hauling. CD has no vices, no cribbing, weaving, stall walking, etc. He is an easy keeper and easy on the eyes.
