Sally is a beautiful Haflinger mare who is 13. She is 14.1 hands and built like a tank. She is a VERY easy keeper! She lounges and is respectful on the ground as well as in the saddle. She also drives, both single and double.
We use her in a riding program for girls and she has done GREAT! We ride her in an indoor arena, outdoor arena and also on the trails. Sally always picks up the correct lead and has a gorgeous slow canter. She moves right through streams, lakes and steps over debri on the trails with no hesitation at all. She can out walk out Spotted Draft! She is NOT barn sour or herd bound and will go out on the trailers alone or in a group. Sally is wonderful for the ferrier, easy to bathe, clip, and trailer.
Sally is the type of horse that creates a special bond with the person who spends a little time fussing over her. She will follow or take you anywhere! She truly is VERY special and a rare fine! She would do best with someone with a little experience but could be used with beginners under a watchful eye. Correct placement is VERY Important as she is looking for her “special someone”.
