Zephaniah came into my life Oct, 2010. He was a working horse on a cattle feedlot. The previous owner said he was a finished heeling roper, I have no idea? Zeph did not know his leads and had missed the basic building blocks, he was good minded, just had little knowledge. We started with ground work, then flat work and eventually began gymnastics and trotting and cantering fences. He was looky, but bold and never said No. He got the summer off because I dont ride in the heat and started back in the Fall looking towards Dressage, specifically Western Dressage because of course he is a quarter horse. We had a very fun year working on straight, forward and lateral work. Summer 12 came and went and there were no western dressage shows in SC so we decided to try hunter under saddle. Zeph has always loved arena work so we began learning this new frame, slowly and classically, and he went to his first open show in Nov. 12. He won a couple of classes. In Dec. 12 he went to his second open show and won all of his classes! He had Western Pleasure training this fall. I am ready for a new project and Zeph is ready for his forever home. He has some superficial scarring on his left hind leg, I was told he got caught in a bobwire fence at some point. Vices - he pins his ears when he is fed and briefly when the saddle is placed on him. His past probably had some rough moments. He is honest, fair and versatile. Will do best with a confident rider. YouTube videos "ilghad"
