Blaze is an 8 year old sorrel Registered American Quarter Horse mare. Blaze is as sweet as they come; she is always trying to please. She is easy to catch, has great ground manners and loves attention. She is broke to ride; she has a nice relaxed walk, smooth jog, attractive extended trot, and a lope that still needs some work. Her lope is a work in progress for the simple fact that she is a very big girl and I have not been able to spend the time with her to teach her to stay collected though out the lope. She picks the lope up without hesitation and has a consistent speed within the lope. She is starting to understand pivots, and rib cage control. She has a great stop, and turns without any resistance. Over all this mare is very easy to ride and with a little time would make a great kids horse!
She would be a great horse on the trail; however she is not a born leader and would need a tail to follow. Blaze is a great mix of western pleasure bred and foundation. She has had one foal in 2010, he is a big red dun with leg barring. Blaze would make a great brood mare for someone who wants big boned, great minded, and thick bodied foals.
Please call with any questions.
