Casey is a 1998 easy-going HUS mare. She can easily slow down for the western events, although has mostly been shown in hunt seat this past season. At shows she requires minimal work, no lunging or riding down to get her going right (works best with not a lot of schooling before hand). She clips without a twitch, bathes, trailers, stands for vet/ferrier, no vices, sound. She really is a been there, done that mare, she has 124.5 points, in HUS, eq, horsemanship, showmanship, and halter. Weve picked up points pretty well every show we went to this year. In 2006 she was reserve congress champion in showmanship, 3rd in equitation, and finalist in HUS. Casey has mostly been ridden by youths all her career, although I believe she can hold her own in novice youth/am, youth/am, or select. she is not for a complete beginner, as she needs someone who knows how to use leg cues properly. She is definitely bomb-proof, at home shes used to chickens/cats/ducks/dogs all running around underfoot and flapping up beside her in the cross ties. Reason for sale is because I have a different mare who is pregnant, and neither me nor her have ever dealt with a foal, so she needs my attention. I would love to keep Casey and continue showing her all year as well as going to Congress with her, but I unfortunately have other dedications.
