Gideon is a palomino Paint stud colt. His mother has both Zippo Pine Bar and Easy Jet in her background, but she is built like a tank. He has developed his mother's thicker build. His mother moves like a western pleasure dream, and all of her babies have acquired the ability to move gracefully.
His sire is out of Impressive Proposal, while also going back to Easy Jet, Jet Deck and Fire A Jazz. Fire A Jazz was a very versatile stallion, doing everything from halter to western pleasure to english to steer stopping, roping and reigning, only to name a few. Impressive Proposal (the grandsire) is an APHA Champion, APHA Reserve World Champion Sire, PtHA World Champion Sire, and PtHA Reserve World Champion Sire.He was a winner of Congress, Houston Stock Show, San Antonio Stock Show, Margarita Classic. He was a Top Ten 1999 APHA Honor Roll. Impressive Proposal has a Superior Hunter Under Saddle, ROM Western Pleasure, ROM Halter, Trail Points, and Green Working Hunter Points. Other things he has been involved in include, 2005 NETPHC High Point Open All-Around, 1998 NETPHC Grand Champion Amateur Halter Stallion, 1998 TSCC Texas State Reserve Champion Amateur Stallions, 3rd Congress Hunter Under Saddle Stakes (as a 2 yr old), and Breeders Trust 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007.
Gideon has been touched from the moment he was born. He was haltered at an early age, and taught how to lead and load into a trailer while he was still young. He is current on dewormings and all of his shots. He also has his feet trimmed on a regular basis, but is still young enough to be still getting used to the farrier. He has a wonderful temperment and will make a great show prospect for someone. He is also very smart and learns easily, especially when he trusts his handler.
The motion pictures were taken during the summer while he was a weanling. The shed off pictures were taken in October before he started getting hairy. He has kept growing. New pictures can be sent upon request.
The video was taken after Christmas, while he was playing in the roundpen.
