"Shortcut" has been a pleasure to own as a 2 and 3 year old. He has been professionally trained by a cutting horse trainer, Johnnie Bellah, that enjoys starting these colts the right way and doesn't skip any steps. He is started on a cow and working the flag as part of his training. I just need to cut back a few head, so I am offering him for you to finish out whatever direction you choose. He was also imprinted and reasoned with in a natural way as a long yearling and early 2 yo year. He is still filling out and seems to be one that will mature physically in his 4 year old year, but has tons of athleticism. Would make a cowhorse, or another timed event horse. May have the mind to make a nice ranch gelding. These pictures were taken Fall 2012; so he has grown up some more since then. He is sound and has never been injured. His sire Julias Peppy, an own son of Peppy San Badger is out of a daughter of Doc Bar, and has sired performance and ranch horses. His Dam is a daughter of 6666 Ranch Breeding Stallion Mr Sun O Lena, own son of Doc O'Lena out of a Shorty Lena mare. He is likely to be very fast, as he is built breedy and stays fit easily. He is sound barefoot and has been kept trimmed. He is current of Equine Dentistry, has his mouth balanced with wolf teeth extracted and caps that were ready removed. Come see him in person.
