Ice is an awesome stallion. This beautiful stallion has the ability to act like a gelding at a roping and produce outstanding foals at home. Ice is a 7 year old AQHA perlino stallion trained as a heel horse by Darren Lawley in Gainesville, TX. Ice won the 2009 Horseman’s Ranch Heeling Championship. He is a solid heel horse who has a lot of speed and an excellent handle. He is good in the box and leaves quickly. He rates well and makes the corner just right. His stop is outstanding and gives me a shot every time. I have used him to drag brush, move feed troughs from pasture to pasture and ponied colts on him. He is a very calm stud and even let my 8 and 4 year old daughters ride him.
We have had 12 babies from him and all have been buckskin, 2 turned grey because of the mare being grey. Ice is very quiet and everyone is shocked that he is a stallion when we are at ropings.
I have had him genetically color tested by uc davis and when he is bred to sorrel or bay mares he will only produce palominos or buckskins. he will not throw a smokey black. He is Ee, AA, CrCr.
