All I have to say is I love this guy. He is the best thing for my mom to get back in the saddle and build her conference. She rode for the last two years getting use to being in the saddle again after having some very nasty spills and bad horse experience two year prior to riding pelaar. He is one of these horses that is like a over sized lap dog. Every time i took him to a show he would load himself in to the trailer, this is so nice to have I hate dragging them in. I am trying to remember if I have ever had a time showing him or even working him or my mom working him if he has ever bucked or spooked and I have to say no. I have to say I enjoyed taking him to shows because I always new what I was going to get in the stall, tacking up, washing him, warmup, in the ring, on xc. ect. he was always laid back and when xc came around he was ready to go but never unsafe or a crazy man like some of my other horses. we never had any trouble making time on xc the kid has speed.
In DR I think his canter is the best part of him I feel it is like a rocking horse and could sit it forever. I myself have trouble sitting any horses trot something I am trying to work on. He is better than my other horse that I ride but I feel I cant judge because I am week in this area.
I have been working him for shorting and extending his trot and canter making him more adjustable for his jumping. This has been my week area on all my horses in the show ring.
He likes a very soft hand. I think he would do well in as a DR horse he is very flashy and has lots of chrome on the legs.
He started eventing in 2009 he has schooled training / Prelim xc and stadium. I show him Novice because I feel he is better at this level. He also spent time in FL with Philippha.
He would also be good for a beginner.
He stands 16 h and is out of Pan Tau and Daga
