I love cute little Cody -- and I think you will, too. She's a proven broodmare in foal now to my Doc Hollywood / Smart Chic Olena grandson. Cody is correct, substantially built, and sweet-natured. She's good with other horses and not a fighter. I chose her for my stud horse's first pasture breeding because she's a sensible mare that isn't going to kick anyone to death.
Cody is currently being ridden at least three times a week on the trail. She's in shape, in excellent health, and has been kept up to date on worming, shots, shoeing, and proper nutrition. Cody's an easy keeper, doesn't get cast in the stall, and is free of any stall vices. She loads like a dream, ties, clips, ponies, and is a wonderful mother. I have her last filly on site (also for sale). Cody is quick and I was told she ran barrels before I got her -- but I haven't chased cans in years, and couldn't tell you how she did or what her aptitude is in that area.
Cody's bred to MJ Royal Smartypants. He's out of my Doc Hollywood daughter and by a Smart Chic Olena son. He is also on site. This will be an outstanding cross and I am heartbroken to be putting this mare on the market when I'm expecting such an excellent foal from her. The foal's grandmother is my sorting horse and is the cowiest horse I've owned. I have not yet tried Cody on cattle but with her pedigree I'm betting she'd be a natural.
Additional videos of Cody, her last filly, the stallion she's bred to, and the stud horse's mother are all available -- email for details. Attached photos are current as of 11/12, Dale Darnold up. Please note: in attached video, Cody is the bay mare. The tobiano filly is her daughter, and the buckskin gelding is an unrelated pasture buddy.
