"Opie" has already won three Top Ten National titles in 2011: in Hunter Hack Junior Horse, Sport Horse Under Saddle Junior Horse, and Training Level Dressage Junior Horse. He placed or tied for 3rd in all three classes. He was just shown over fences by a 14 year old for the first time in November 2012. He is an excellent mover and under saddle winner and is learning his job over fences. (Hunter rider is 5'9").
"Opie" has also shown in Training and 1st Level Dressage with scores into the 70's.
This gelding is a "pleaser" and loads of fun to ride. He has a big step and has no trouble making the distances when riding courses. He has also recently been ridden over 250 acres with another experienced trail horse and was fabulous. He enjoys whatever job he is asked to do. He is suitable for a competitive youth rider (perfect ride for Youth Nationals!!), an adult amateur wanting a sane, reliable, fun ride, or for an open rider wanting a horse who has the ability to go to the top!
