The best person to own this horse would be either a jr. amateur intermediate rider looking to compete and hunt or any person wanting to do a little of everything, including EVENTING. The X-Factor is solidly built, with excellent bone and feet and fabulous movement. he has the jumping ability (jumping vid on sellers website) and the magnificent movement via his hanoverian dam. This is a stocky horse and will carry a large rider quite well, whether man or woman. Bare big strong feet, a good mind, terrific puppy dog personality and is very friendly. At the present time, he is hunting and doing a few jobs in the hunt. Barry rides in all flights. He can hilltop and go easy or fly in first flight over hedges, timber & stone walls. The video shows us being the fox this day and laying the drag. It takes a very special horse to go in the middle of no where and do this and have the hunt chase you! The best place for this horse is in the field though, riding behind another. He can be ridden behind anyone. He has taken a rider on her first foxhunt and she was so safe and happy. This horse was previously ridden dressage and due to the previous owners' harshness and the demand put on him in the ring, I have changed his riding considerably to everything BUT dressage. He likes when you change it up. He will not be happy if you are only a ring rider. He needs diversity to keep him happy in his mind and to keep the past in the past. His form over fences is perfect. his distances and strides are cake and he is very ratable. This is a careful sure footed horse. He has his changes and has schooled at a few rated local hunter jumper shows this Summer. I do believe this will be a perfect 3'6" equitation horse or superb eventer but he needs some more time schooling in these situations. He is up to date on everything and with the right trainer; you and this boy will go very far. Even though he's hunting, he deserves a show home that also likes to have some fun. you can see by the videos the fine movement and rythme. This is the nicest moving horse out on the hunt, for sure. He loves trail riding and hacking around. Friendly with other paddock buddies and a very easy keeper. xrays are available and email questions. A lease is possible to the right home. vet checks are welcome. No lease for hunting. Videos will show you enough to decide if you want to see him. Trainers must accompany their clients if buyer needs trainer's approval to purchase. He will pass a vet exam. No exceptions.
