Lena is an own grandaughter of the late Smart Chic O' Lena. She is a finished reining horse, has been played on with cows, (penning, sorting, a little cutting, and been around team ropers). She loves the cows! She would be a perfect Versatility Ranch horse. Has drug tires and logs, walks over bridges, has some showmanship training, and side passes well.
Lena has her Performance ROM through AQHA & with limited showing has earned over $250 in the IF. I recently enrolled her for her NRHA competition License and she's earned $$ through NRHA in just the 1 year she's been enrolled also.
Lena is a very quiet, very broke horse. All levels of riders have been on her, from small kids, to green adults, and Non pro's. She has no vices. Stands quieltly for farrier, loads, hauls, clips, ground ties, cross ties, etc.
+1 Circles and Turn Arounds. Fluent in all manuevers. Perfect lead changes every time! She was shown at the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress and placed within the top 20 in her classes.
UTD on shots, farrier, teeth, wormer
Maintenence Plan:
I keep Lena on a daily joint supplement, 1x month Adaquan, and have her hocks injected 1x per year. I have current Xrays. She is sound, with no issues.
She was started late in life, and the previous owner didn't show her much. I bought her, have only shown 1 full year and a few shows the previous year, and have learned so much. I currently have a 3 yr. old filly in training, and need to focus my time (and money) on her.
