Chaos came to share suffering from extreme hoof neglect with the extremely curved, elf-slipper feet and absesses so bad he couldn't walk. We have his feet looking good but he's not fully sound. Our farriers continue to work on him but we're not sure that he'd ever be sound for a riding horse. Meanwhile, he is about the flashiest thing on 4 legs! He's looking for a long term foster (your expenses are tax deductible!) or adoption as a pasture pet. He'd just need a good farrier to keep maintaining his feet.
We only adopt to a homes within a 3 hour radius of Champaign, Illinois and we do require that you fill out an application before we can schedule an appointment. An application is not a commitment from you, but we have over 40 horses for adoption and this allows our volunteers to make the best use of their time!
