Raffin is a is a double Registered and Inspected Main Mare Book Hanoverian and Oldenburg Mare. She was designated a Premium Foal at her Foal Inspection by the German Oldenburg Verband and she received solid 7's at her Mare Inspection from the Hanoverian Verband on her Sex Type, Conformation, Correctness of Gaits, General Impression, Head, Neck, Frame and Forelegs; with an 8 on Saddle Position. She has also been Inspected by the German Oldenburg Verband and is placed in their Main Mare Book. With her classical conformation and 3 quality gaits, Raffin is a proven and valuable addition for any breeders program and was also trained under saddle by FEI dressage rider Annaliese Farber.
Raffin's first foal the filly Fineska (by Fabuleux) was awarded Premium Foal Status by the German Oldenburg Verband in 2009 and sold at birth. In 2010 she produced a truly stunning, flashy Hanoverian colt Harlow (by Harvard) who sold as a weanling. In 2012 she once again produced a beautiful, elegant tall filly Havanna (by Harvard) who sold as a weanling. She crosses exceptionally well with Harvard and is offered for sale confirmed in foal to him for 2013. Her previous foals have been of above average quality and sold quickly and easily. Her interesting pedigree is versatile and offers the Dressage, Hunter or Jumper breeder proven substance.
Raffin's sire Rodero is an Imported Licensed Hanoverian stallion who hails from the famous Ramiro line. Rodero is a very elegant and elastic mover with correct confirmation. He completed his Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf in 1998, finishing an impressive 6th out of 45. He scored equally well in his Dressage and Jumping index. Rodero was shown successfully in dressage in 1999 & 2000 under the talented Annaliese Farber. Rodero offspring have excelled in the Dressage, Jumper and Eventing arena's. In 2010 Rodero son Riddlemaster represented Canada with Rebecca Howard at the World Equestrian Games in Eventing. Raffin's dam-sire Zymbal I is equally notable. He was Reserve Champion in Oldenburg and at his Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf he passed with a total index of 120.84. He scored the highest in the test in jumping with a 9.0, and received an 8.0 for Rideability, Ability to Perform and Temperament. He placed 4th under Gilbert Böckmann at the Bundeschampionat in the class for five-year old show jumpers in Vechta and went on to have a successful Grand Prix career. Weltmeister has sired 34 Licensed sons and over 50 Premium Daughters. St.Pr. Rudira hails from one of the most prolific mare tribes in Oldenburg, the fantastic Rudilore III line.
Raffin is an easy breed catching the first insemination for her 2012 foal and coming 2013 foal. She is currently up to date and vaccinated for Rabies, Tetanus, Flu/Rhino EHV4-1. Her teeth were powerfloated in the spring of 2011. She has good feet and is without vices. She has lost the hair on her tail due to a past fungal episode but this clearly does not affect her career as a successful broodmare. She foals out easily, thus far having straight forward, uncomplicated births, producing large amounts of milk and is an excellent mother.
Raffin is proudly offered For Sale as a proven broodmare with valuable bloodlines for dressage or jumping. Considering her coming in-utero Harvard foal will be worth the majority of her asking price (her 2012 Harvard filly sold for 13,000) she is competitvely priced.
