2012 German Oldenburg Verband Gelding
$10000 CDN

Hampton is a big, elegant, friendly, bay colt with straight correct long legs and a lovely head. He is flashy with a blaze, white bottom lip and 4 white socks. He should mature 16.3hh+ and possess amazing temperament. He was born April 18, 2012. Hampton attended the German Oldenburg Inspection where he was awarded premium status.

Hampton was professionally foaled out at a Vet Clinic receiving top care and inspection from the moment of birth. He has had vitamin boosters, tetanus anti-toxin, his IgG tested and has vet checked clean and healthy in all areas. His value will continue to increase as he matures.

Hampton's sire Harvard is sired by Elite Hengst Hohenstein I, the 2002 Trakehner Stallion of the Year with an impressive Dressage Index of 148.29. Harvard’s dam, Hauptstutbuch Carina, is sired by famed refining stallion Cardinal xx and in addition to Harvard, also produced the Licensed Hanoverian Stallion Davis Cup and Federal Champion Dacapo.

Performance tested in 1999, Harvard scored a perfect 10 for Temperament and straight 9’s for Character, Willingness to Work and Rideability. He was Vice-Champion of the 2000 Oldenburg Main Premium, a Bundeschampionate Finalist at age 4 and 5, Advanced Dressage Champion of Ontario, Grand Champion Stallion at the RAWF and Long-Listed for the Canadian Dressage Team.

Harvard progeny are elegant in type, kind in temperament and inherit his fluid walk. Harvard has produced Licensed sons, numerous State Premium, Special Premium and Premium Mares, Elite Auction Foals, a Bundeschampion, finalists at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, successful International Advanced Dressage competitors, high scoring Oldenburg mares, Foals of Distinction and legions of Premium Foals. Daughter, Halifax won the 2006 Bundeschampionate. Son, Hans Im Gluck placed at the 2009 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and finished 3rd in the 2011 Gutenhof Inter.1 Kur Cup Finale. Son, Hennessy 70 is repeatedly placing at Advanced in International CDI’s. Harvard is a sought after sire of broodmares, his daughters continue to develop his legacy in Europe bringing Licensed Sons, St.Pr. Mares, Elite Auction Foals and the 2008 Champion Filly at the German Foal Championships. Imported Harvard offspring have also had great success in the Hunter Jumper ranks in the US with multiple top Champions. His oldest foal crop in NA is coming 5 this year and beginning to enter the dressage and Hunter rings with much success. Hampton's dam Déjà Vu has a truly phenomenal character that must be seen to be believed. Her docile, kind-hearted nature makes this mare a pleasure to be around and work with on a daily basis. She passes this easy-going attitude onto all of her foals. Deja Vu produced her first foal in 2009, Hypnotic by Harvard who was stamped with her mothers friendly nature and high rideability. Hypnotic sold easily to a wonderful dressage home and will begin her sport career in 2012. Her second foal Hathaway by Harvard was born in 2010 and was awarded the prestigious Foal Of Distinction Award by the German Oldenburg Verband at her Foal Inspection. "This award can be given to the most outstanding foals presented at an official inspection. The foals must be judged to have clearly extraordinary quality in conformation and movement by the inspection committee" (German Oldenburg Verband Rulebook Excerpt). This fully solidified our belief that this is lovely combination of blood and Deja Vu was rebred to Harvard for 2012 and produced Hampton a knockout colt with a dark coat, big blaze and 4 white socks. Her 2010 Harvard filly sold for 11,000 CDN as a weanling and 2009 Harvard Filly has just sold to a professional dressage home. Deja Vu has both under saddle dressage training by Annaliese Farber and was also trained for harness by Randy Bird. Deja Vu is an interesting mix of TB refining influence and classical German Blood. Her sire Guided Way xx, is a TB blend of some of the most prolific sires of the industry; Seattle Slew, Bold Ruler, Nijinsky, Lyphard and Northern Dancer. Deja Vu's dam was bred by Ann Kitchel of Huntington Farm who stood her sire Goldfuerst who won the Bundeschampionat as a young stallion in Germany and went on to compete at Grand Prix Dressage.
