"Sammy" is a 2009 Premium GOV Oldenburg gelding bred for dressage. Very friendly and trainable, started under saddle late April, 2012. Tall and elegant with lovely head and neck, excellent mover at all gaits, very good reach, hind end and beautiful canter. Reserve champion colt of 2009 Eastern US Oldenburg Show, chosen best mover of a large class. Has been handled twice daily since birth and has excellent ground manners. Trailers, clips, bathes, stands for vet, farrier and dentist. Lives in small group turnout, is easy to catch and gets along with other horses. Flashy and athletic enough for a pro; gentle enough for an experienced amateur. Destined for a dressage competition home. Currently in training with a USDF bronze medalist and an up-and-coming eventer. He has had no problem adapting to two riders.
UPDATE: 1/20/2013 Seven 'n' Seven won his second-ever training level dressage test with a score of 72.8, including 9 on working trot, 8.5 on trot circle, 8 on canter circle. Judge's comments: "Lovely, elegant horse...amazingly talented..."
UPDATE: 5/7/2013: Seven 'n' Seven and his trainer Domenique Carson have had two successful lessons with Scott Hassler at Hassler Dressage, and will be competing for a qualifying score in the FEI 4 year-old test. See his latest video from 4/19/2013 at his most recent lesson.
