We purchased Rocky in 2006 as a project for our daughter, and now she's ready to move on. He will do the usual, stand for the farrier, vet, braiding, etc. and is a gentleman on the ground and under saddle. Due to divorce, our show schedule took a beating for the last 2 years, but he has done very well for the outings we have had. Most recently, he qualified for the NC State 4H horse show with a 1st in Eq o/f, 2 second places, and a 3rd in other Sr. Hunter classes ( with about 30 horses in each class). We have shown in a local schooling circuit that is very competitive (a lot of "A" circuit riders), finishing 11th in pre-children's for 2007 even though we only went to half the shows. We finished 6th in Open Schooling hunter for 2008 (behind 5 trainers!).
He has shown up to 3' with no problem, but we usually show at 2'9". Can give more detailed show results if desired.
He is shod in front, and has no health issues. We do have him on a hoof supplement daily, and he is up to date on shots.
Please email with any questions. I don't have any videos, but I might be able to get one made and loaded (no promises!!!). I prefer to sell him, but I will consider a lease to a professional barn. I have seen a virtual twin to this horse (same sire, not sure about the dam)advertised on this site for $15,000. I'm not trying to make a fortune, I just want him to find a nice home.
